Cincinnati's Baba Miller Deemed the Biggest Winner of NBA Combine

The 2026 NBA Combine has wrapped up, and as always, it was an eye-opener for scouts looking for their franchise’s next star.

Now, we’ve been analyzing the results of the draft, including the NCAA players’ measurements, speeds and interviews, as has the rest of the NBA.

In a piece for Bleacher Report following Combine, Jonathan Wasserman names the winners and losers of the event. “Every year, the NBA Draft Combine gives prospects a chance to change their draft stock in front of dozens of front offices - through measurements, athletic testing, scrimmages and closed-door interviews,” he states in the piece.

His pick for the biggest winner of the event is Cincinnati’s Baba Miller, noting that the player “put up outstanding measurements and foot-speed drills for a forward.”

“He proceeded to lead the first scrimmage in scoring 20 points, showing off his inside-out versatility with big-man finishing and a pair of three-point makes,” Wasserman says in the piece.

He adds: “Miller made a strong jump as a senior, having averaged a double-double with 3.7 assists per game. A 4-man with center height, handles/passing and strong rebounding/finishing, Miller has emerged as an enticing second-round pick after falling off the radar earlier in his career.”

Did Miller’s draft performance take him into the first round of the event? Not quite, but that’s not what matters here. What matters is that he wowed scouts at NBA Combine, and that should inch him higher in the second round of the event and help set him up for the future.
