Kyle Busch's Cause of Death Revealed

In a statement released Saturday morning, May 23, the Busch family released details on the official cause of death of Kyle Busch.

"The medical evaluation provided to the Busch Family concluded that severe pneumonia progressed into sepsis, resulting in rapid and overwhelming associated complications," the Busch family revealed.

According to the CDC, "Sepsis is the body's extreme response to an infection." It can begin through your GI tract, lungs, skin, or urinary tract. 1.7 million American adults develop sepsis on a yearly basis.

Just hours later, he had passed away. The Associated Press first reported that "Busch was testing in the Chevrolet racing simulator in Concord on Wednesday when he became unresponsive and was transported to a hospital in Charlotte."

TMZ Sports later obtained audio of a 9-1-1 call made from the facility where Busch was training.

"I've got an individual that... shortness of breath, very hot, thinks he's going to pass out, and is producing a bit of blood," the caller said.

The audio hears the details provided to the dispatcher on how to respond while keeping the police lights off upon arrival. Busch was confirmed on the audio as being awake at the time.

His cause of death remains unconfirmed publicly.
