Seattle Reign to play in first NWSL game in Rhode Island vs. Legacy
Perhaps a new venue and club will help the Reign net their first goal since March.
The club is on the road to play expansion side Boston Legacy.
Here's a look at Friday's match:
Reign (3-4-2) at Boston (2-5-3)
Time/place: 5 p.m. Friday at Centreville Bank Stadium in Pawtucket, R.I.
TV: Prime Video

Series history: This is the first meeting
New team, new digs
In addition to playing their inaugural match against Boston, the Reign will join the Legacy in debuting an NWSL game in Rhode Island. Boston is relocating to Centreville Bank Stadium due to Gillette Stadium - home of the NFL's New England Patriots - undergoing prep for the FIFA men's World Cup.
The 10,500-seat facility was mainly built for USL Championship side Rhode Island FC. The surface is artificial turf.
Good introductions
As one of the NWSL's eight charter clubs, the Reign have done a good job of demonstrating how tough it is to get a win in the league. The Reign are unbeaten in seven of their nine matches against new teams (5-2-2). In April, the Reign played newcomer Denver to a goalless draw in Spokane.
But the Reign just need a win. They're winless in their past five matches (0-3-2) while the Legacy are unbeaten during the same stretch (2-0-3).
Quotable
"(Boston) is really coming into form recently," Reign winger Maddie Dahlien said. "For us, we approach every game the same and (want to) deliver on our game plan. They're really good defensively and really gritty. For us, it's just that quality in the final third and playing a better game. Boston is definitely going to bring it, but we're ready. I'm excited to see how the game goes."
