Danica Patrick's Fans Defending Her Dress Choice at Indy 500
Danica Patrick's fans are defending her dress choice at the Indy 500.
The former IndyCar and NASCAR driver faced criticism online for her red dress, worn on Fox Sports during coverage of the Indy 500. Photos of Patrick's outfit quickly went viral on social media, sparking a lot of reaction.
"Danica Patrick vying for the Ashley Judd worst dressed ever at the Indy 500 award," one fan wrote.
"I've been a fan of Danica since the Letterman days. Why does she have to dress so ridiculously? Doesn't she have anyone in her life to say 'that's really over the top for race coverage?'" another critic shared.
One added: "Danica Patrick looks ridiculous. She's dressed like she's going clubbing instead of the Indy 500."
But Patrick's fans are defending her outfit choice.
Fans of Patrick took to social media to defend her, saying that she looks great.

Patrick's supporters think that she looked great.
"I see nothing wrong with what Danica is wearing…sounds like y'all are jealous because she is where she is because she worked for it and you guys are just sitting on your butt in front of the tv doing nothing. You don't like what she's doing or wearing…change the channel!!!" one supporter wrote.
"She looks great. Dudes are just mad that she has better biceps than them," one fan joked.
"Please just leave her alone. All of the rest of the cast is a bunch of male ex-drivers, just like her. But, if she dresses like them, then she comes off as trying to be one of the guys. If she dresses feminine, then you blast her for that. She's a nice person, and she has had to put up with a lot. She has my support. Lay off the negative Danica articles," one fan added.
"I think she looked great. Obviously in shape and takes care of herself. People envious that are knocking her," another shared.
One thing is clear, though: Patrick won't back down from any criticism. The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver is used to breaking barriers and fighting through backlash.
