Knicks Make NBA History With Game 4 Win Over Cavaliers
For the first time since 1999, the New York Knicks have won the Eastern Conference Finals and are heading to the NBA Finals.
The Knicks continued their streak with their 11th straight win, this one being a dominant 130-93 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers in Cleveland on Monday.
The Knicks scored 68 first-half points and led by as many as 29 during the second quarter, and there was no turning back.
Jalen Brunson, who was named the ECF MVP, finished with 15 points in 30 minutes as no Knicks player logged more than 30 minutes.
With the blowout, the Knicks made NBA history by becoming the first team ever to have three 20-point victories in elimination games in a single postseason.
First, New York defeated the Atlanta Hawks, 140-89, in Game 6. Then, the Knicks topped the Philadelphia 76ers, 144-114, in Game 4 to complete the sweep.

Moreover, the Knicks have not lost since April 23, when they lost Game 3 to the Hawks, so Mike Brown's team is trending in the right direction going into the NBA Finals.
Knicks Now in Wait-and-See Mode
The Knicks will officially finish the month of May with zero losses, and the 11-game winning streak is impressive.
The Knicks are also the fifth team in history to win 11 or more games straight in a postseason.

They are the 5th team in NBA history to win 11+ consecutive games in a single postseason, joining the 2017 Warriors, 2001 Lakers, 1999 Spurs and 1989 Lakers.

Here's another piece of NBA history the Knicks made during the win over the Cavaliers.

Mike Brown was the head coach of two of those teams, and an assistant for the other.
Currently, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder are tied at 2-2 in the Western Conference Finals, and both teams are dealing with injuries entering Game 5.
The Knicks won't play until June 3, which is when Game 1 of the NBA Finals is scheduled, and the first game at Madison Square Garden in this year's finals is June 8, which is Game 3.
The Knicks have plenty of momentum on their side right now, and the only loss this month by single digits came in Game 2 against the 76ers, so they are winning in convincing fashion.
