Final Injury Report for Sun-Fire: Will Brittney Griner Play?
The Connecticut Sun are on the road on Wednesday night as they travel to take on the Portland Fire in an interconference matchup.
Connecticut enters Wednesday's game with a 1-7 record after losing on the road to the Golden State Valkyries on Monday night.
In Monday's loss to the Valkyries, Aneesah Morrow led the way for the Sun as she recorded 11 points and 10 rebounds off the bench while Aaliyah Edwards added eight points and five rebounds of her own.
Now Connecticut will try to bounce back on Wednesday as they face off against the Fire in a tough road matchup.
On the other side, Portland enters Wednesday's contest with a 4-3 record after defeating the New York Liberty on the road on Monday night.
Carla Leite led the way for the Fire in Monday's victory as she ended the game with 18 points and two assists while Teja Oblak recorded 10 points, three rebounds and four assists off the bench.
While both teams are looking to pick up a victory in Wednesday night's matchup, one side may be without multiple key players due to injuries.
Sun Injury Report: Will Brittney Griner Play?
For the Sun, they have two players listed on their injury report for Wednesday, including center Brittney Griner.
Connecticut has ruled out Griner due to a right rib strain as she will miss her fourth consecutive contest after she was downgraded to out on Monday after previously being listed as probable.

The Sun have also ruled out Leila Lacan as she remains sidelined to begin the season as she is away from the team due to overseas obligations.
Fire Injury Report
On the other side, the Fire enter Wednesday's matchup with a healthy roster as they have nobody listed on their injury report.
This is great news for Portland as they try to pick up another victory on Wednesday over a struggling Sun team.
