New York Jets 2026 Training Camp Preview: Aaron Glenn on the Hot Seat?
With several teams kicking off their organized team activities this week, the NFL offseason is in full swing.
Teams have OTAs sprinkled in over the next three weeks before a month-long break until training camp begins in mid-to-end July.
We'll be reviewing the major offseason changes for all 32 teams in addition to previewing what to expect from each team as they head into training camp. Below is our 2026 training camp preview for the New York Jets.

Analysis:
After a 3-14 season last year, it's foolish to expect much more from the Jets in 2026.
New York did make some good offseason moves including signing cornerback Nahshon Wright, and edge-rushers Joseph Ossai and Kinglsey Enagbare plus drafting first-round edge-rusher David Bailey, first-round tight end Kenyon Sadiq, first-round receiver Omar Cooper Jr., second-round cornerback D'Angelo Ponds, and fourth-round quarterback Cade Klubnik, but that collection of players is unlikely to result in immediate results.
With Geno Smith throwing to Garrett Williams, Adonai Mitchell, Cooper Jr., and Sadiq, the passing game will likely look much better than it was last year with Justin Fields under center.
However, the defense ranked 25th last season and not much improvement was made on that side of the ball, save for Bailey and Ponds.
A three- or four-win season is likely the best-case scenario for the Jets in 2026. Once the losses start piling up, head coach Aaron Glenn will likely start hearing calls for his job.
And with the Jets in prime position to draft a franchise quarterback early in the 2027 draft, it wouldn't be surprising if the team fired Glenn after an underwhelming season and hired someone new to hand pick his QB.
