Blue Jays Announce Roster Decision Before Orioles Game
After a difficult start to the 2026 MLB season, the Toronto Blue Jays have begun building some momentum and have won four straight games. Following Friday's victory over the Baltimore Orioles, the Blue Jays enter Saturday's game in Baltimore with a 29-29 record. Toronto is now back to .500 for the first time since April 4, and stands in third place in the American League East.
Despite dealing with a flurry of injuries and offensive inconsistencies throughout much of the year, the Blue Jays have now started to look more like the team that won the American League pennant just last season.
Amid the recent success, the organization is still continuing to search for additional pitching depth. Injuries to several key arms throughout the season have forced Toronto to rely heavily on both its bullpen and minor-league system as it attempts to keep pace in the AL East.
Prior to Saturday's game against the Orioles, the Blue Jays announced that right-hander Hayden Juenger had been selected to the Major League roster, while veteran reliever Austin Voth was designated for assignment.
"RHP Hayden Juenger selected to the Major League roster and will be active today. RHP Austin Voth designated for assignment," the Blue Jays shared on X.

Juenger's promotion marks the first Major League call-up of his professional career. The 25-year-old has spent the 2026 season with Triple-A Buffalo and has emerged as one of the Blue Jays' more intriguing pitching depth options.
Selected by Toronto in the sixth round of the 2021 MLB Draft out of Missouri State University, Juenger has earned the promotion through a strong stretch with the Bisons. In 17 appearances with Triple-A Buffalo this season, Juenger has posted a 3.15 ERA while recording 23 strikeouts across 20 innings pitched.
The Blue Jays will now hope Juenger can provide a boost to a pitching staff that has been tested during the season by injuries and roster turnover.
The Blue Jays are 8-2 in their last 10 games and will seek their fifth straight victory on Saturday against the Orioles.
