Mitchell Robinson Has Message For Fans After Finger Injury

New York Knicks center Mitchell Robinson has stuck with the team through thick and thin but an injury to his right pinky seemed poised to interrupt or even prevent his first-ever trip to the NBA Finals. On Saturday, Robinson had a message for the fans (and his doubters).

Taking to Instagram, Robinson offered his thanks to all of his fans for the love and support they've shown amid his injury issue. He also called out his critics and doubters with a warning for them.

"I can't thank you guys enough for the love and support most of you bring especially at a time like this in my life. It makes everything I'm fighting for 100x easier to deal with," Robinson wrote.

"The ones that want to see me down and hurt all I gotta say for you is (expletive) you ✌🏾.

"And last the ones that say they love and care about me but can't be there for me when I need them but I'm always there when they need me god will get you."

Robinson's Hand

Robinson reportedly suffered a fracture of his fifth metacarpal in his right hand. It's an injury that usually takes weeks, if not months to fully heal. The longtime Knicks center has already undergone surgery on the digit but is expected to play through it.

Whether or not Robinson will be as effective with the hand injured or not remains to be seen. The Knicks certainly need him to be.

Robinson has enjoyed a league-best 73.7-percent field goal rate in the playoffs and has been invaluable coming off the bench as a defender. He's averaging 5.3 rebounds and 5.5 rebounds per game while averaging less than 15 minutes per night.

It's certainly a good thing that the Knicks were able to punch their tickets to the NBA Finals so early, otherwise there might have been far more angst over his injury. That being said, fans and even coaches were pretty upset to find out that he managed to get himself hurt during that time where they should be healing, not getting injured.

Will Robinson still be as effective for the Knicks in the Finals with his injured pinky?
