Most Likely Super Bowl Matchup Revealed From ESPN's FPI
Earlier today ESPN revealed its newest Football Power Index (FPI) and revealed the Los Angeles Rams are the best team in football by a significant margin following the addition of star pass rusher Myles Garrett.
ESPN’s FPI revealed the most-likely Super Bowl matchup comes between the Rams and the second-best team in the league hails from the AFC: the Buffalo Bills.
“It doesn’t take much creativity to put the Bills in the title game. Josh Allen is arguably the best quarterback in the league, and they easily could have made the Super Bowl in recent seasons,” ESPN wrote.

“The Ravens are top contenders, too, despite missing the playoffs last season and having a new coach. That’s the Lamar Jackson effect, and Baltimore should be right back in the contending mix again if head coach Jesse Minter can provide a defensive lift,” ESPN added.
The Bills and Rams have a 4.8% chance to meet in the Super Bowl while the Rams and Ravens are close behind at 4.7%.
That’s followed by Bills and Seattle Seahawks (2.6%), then Rams and Kansas City Chiefs (2.5%) and finally the San Francisco 49ers and Ravens (2.4%).
The Rams and Bills met during the 2024 regular season and provided an instant classic for fans that saw Allen and Matthew Stafford combine for 744 yards of total offense and eight total touchdowns – six of which came from Allen (three passing and three rushing).
