Nico Paz Provides Fresh World Cup Injury Update Amid Concerning Claims

Nico Paz has given Argentina fans a much-needed boost just days before the FIFA World Cup begins. The Argentina national team youngster has been dealing with fitness concerns at a tricky time, with several players around the tournament also racing to be ready.

Naturally, that has led to some worry over whether Paz would be available for Lionel Scaloni's squad. But the youngster has now offered a positive update, suggesting that despite the recent concerns, he expects to be involved and ready to help Argentina on the biggest stage.

In a tweet shared on X by Fabrizio Romano, he shared an update on Paz's injury saying, "Nico Páz denies claims on his presence at World Cup being at risk due to injury: "Final days of recovery. Really eager to get started".

Nico Paz's fitness remains one of the smaller but important storylines around Argentina's World Cup build-up.

The concern comes from the fact that he ended his club season with Como on the sidelines after a knee issue, and he has not had much time to prove he is fully past it. That has led to different reports, with some sounding more cautious and others suggesting Argentina are still relaxed about the situation.

The good news is that there does not appear to be panic from Lionel Scaloni's staff. Paz is still with the group, continuing his recovery work, and Argentina have not moved as if they are about to replace him.

That matters because Paz has earned this opportunity. His season in Italy was excellent, and he gave Como real attacking quality with his goals, creativity, and confidence in the final third.

For Argentina, the hope is that this is just a temporary setback rather than something that affects his tournament. With the opening game against Algeria getting closer, the next few days will be important. For now, Paz is not out of the picture. Argentina are simply giving him time to get right.
