Caitlin Clark's Vomiting Incident During Fever-Dream Game Revealed
Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark struggled to shoot the ball against the Atlanta Dream on Thursday night, but she still finished with 17 points. Clark also made an impact in other areas, as she tallied seven rebounds and eight assists.
With her help, the Fever took down the Dream, 83-71, for their first win in the 2026 Commissioner's Cup.
Clark also had plenty of highlights during the game, including a nasty sidestep triple in the third quarter that had fans shouting in excitement. Furthermore, Clark pulled off an incredible stop on Te-Hina Paopao to preserve Indiana's double-digit lead entering the final quarter.
Unknown to many, however, Clark had a vomiting incident at halftime. Chloe Peterson of the Indianapolis Star and James Boyd of The Athletic confirmed the broadcast report about the Fever guard throwing up before the start of the second half.
While speaking to reporters postgame, Clark admitted that it really happened and explained what caused it.
"A little sick," Clark said when asked how she's feeling. "I tried to eat some applesauce, and then it just came up, and then everything else in my stomach also came up. I thought I was going to stay down, and then I found the trash can."
Clark also admitted that she hasn't "puked that much in a really long time."
Interestingly, though, the vomiting might have helped Clark. The All-Star guard pointed out that she "felt fine" and "light" after puking, which allowed her to play better in the second half.
"I felt light, so I was running around feeling good in the second half," Clark stated.

Clark had 10 points, six rebounds and three assists in the final two quarters, so by the looks of it, the incident turned in her favor.
