Kelso's Kylie Killett named league pitcher of the year
For the second year in a row, a Kelso pitcher has been named the 3A Greater St. Helens League pitcher of the year.

Last year it was Paityn Mackin, and this season, Kylie Killett earned the honor.
Killett struck out 148 batters and gave up 47 earned runs in 120 innings of work in the circle this season, good for an ERA of 2.74.

Six Lassies joined Killett on the all-league squad. Avery Mackin (outfield), Skylar Richie (shortstop), Kailanah Hagdahl-Daniel (outfield), Brooke Hefley (third base), and Karmynn Petrisor (catcher) earned first-team honors while Harlee Barnes (second base) was selected to the second team.
Mackin totaled 31 hits and 25 RBIs with eight doubles and one triple, Richie notched 30 hits, including five doubles and two triples, with 16 RBIs, and Hagdahl-Daniel finished the season with 28 hits and 27 RBIs with four doubles and seven home runs.

In addition, Hefley recorded 25 hits and 29 RBIs with three doubles, two triples, and three home runs, Petrisor tallied 25 hits and 16 RBIs with three doubles and five home runs, and Barnes registered 21 hits, including two doubles and a triple, with 13 RBIs.
The girls led Kelso to a 15-9 overall record with a 7-1 mark in league play as the team shared the conference championship with Prairie for the second year in a row. The Lassies also claimed the district title and won a game in the state tournament.
