Paige Spiranac Surprised By What She's Witnessing At Women's U.S. Open

Paige Spiranac has been on hand at the women's U.S. Open this weekend.

Nelly Korda is currently leading the event. She's at -6 heading into the final round on Sunday. Korda shot a -4 in the third round to surge to the top of the leaderboard, before things finish up on Sunday, June 7.

Spiranac, who played collegiately at the University of Arizona and San Diego State, also had a brief professional career. Spiranac never made a run at an LPGA Tour win or major victory, but she has a very impressive golf swing and ability around the course.

But even Spiranac is surprised by what she's witnessing at the women's U.S. Open this weekend.

Spiranac made it clear that she's pretty surprised by the tempo and power showcased by the female golfers at the women's U.S. Open.

The golf influencer took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to sound off on what she's witnessing from the top women's golfers on the planet. Spiranac is very surprised and impressed by what she's seeing.

"Tempo, tempo, tempo!" she wrote.

Golf fans are impressed, too

Golf fans can't believe it, either. They are very impressed by the talent and ability of the female golfers.

"I've said for many years that LPGA players generally have better swings than male pros, in terms of fundamentals and efficiency. They're not going to overcome inefficiencies with raw power like so many of the men do. Honestly, if you're not watching women's golf..." one fan wrote.

"I am trying to be tempo dominant in my swing. You still need an accurate swing plane but as a senior golfer it's my best method," one fan wrote.

"Really awesome, you don't take all these clubs for granted. At a time when they surprise you, it's cool you made note of it. Keep journaling yo," one fan added.

"Great post! I attended a ladies professional tournament many years ago-Nabisco Open in Nashville if I recall. I remember leaving being so impressed with the small women who were crushing the ball-there swings were so efficient, like so many tour players today," one fan added.

It's impressive to see, no doubt.
