Chris Bosh Highlights Key Adjustment Spurs Need to Repeat Against Knicks in NBA Finals

Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs look to tie the series on Wednesday against the New York Knicks in the NBA Finals. On Monday, the Spurs quickly established their presence inside by calling Wembanyama's number in the paint. This was key to their 115-111 win to make the series 2-1.

Ahead of Game 4, two-time NBA champion Chris Bosh posted a video on X detailing what he expects from both teams. According to Bosh, he believes that the game will be intense since both teams are determined to gain control of the series. The former Miami Heat star said that the Spurs will try to win on the road before heading back to San Antonio. The Knicks, meanwhile, will attempt to hold a 3-1 lead before leaving New York for Game 5.

Bosh also explained that the Spurs need to maximize putting Wembanyama in the paint, just like what they did in Game 3.

"I think for the Spurs, they need to find a way to build off of what they had in Game 3," Bosh said. "Getting Wemby into the paint was tremendous for them. totally different shot chart than Games 1 and 2. How will the Knicks respond to that?

"I think for San Antonio, you gotta continue to play with confidence. They have to continue to make the right plays, play much more aggressive like they did in Game 3. I think they trusted themselves, you could tell. They're playing faster, they're getting to the game that they usually play, and that's gonna be key for them."

For the Knicks, Bosh said that they need to match the Spurs' physicality. He mentioned that Karl-Anthony Towns, Mitchell Robinson and OG Anunoby need to send a message to Wembanyama after he shoved Jalen Brunson in the previous game.

Although San Antonio lacks experience, they've battled hard against battle-tested teams. The team has also received support from previous Spurs players and team president Gregg Popovich.

Before Game 3, the Spurs were down 2-0 in the series and found encouragement from team president Gregg Popovich. The legendary head coach reportedly traveled to New York before the contest and spoke to the team.

Second-year guard Stephon Castle told reporters that Pop encouraged the team after losing the first two games at home.

"Pretty much his message was, 'Just let the last two games go,'" Castle said.

Pop's presence and words of support helped the team overcome the Knicks at Madison Square Garden. They've extended the series and look to capture another win on Wednesday.
