Giants' John Harbaugh Provides Encouraging Update on Malik Nabers
It appears New York Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers is approaching his return to NFL action.
After the Giants’ final mandatory minicamp practice on Wednesday, head coach John Harbaugh said he’s “hopeful” that Nabers will return soon - adding that he’s made “really good progress” over the last couple weeks.
Nabers suffered a torn ACL in Week 4 of the 2025 NFL season, an injury that required a full meniscus repair. He underwent a second surgery to remove scar tissue from the knee earlier this offseason.
“He said his plan is to be here most of the time, almost all the time he’ll be here, I believe,” Harbaugh said on Wednesday, via team insider Jordan Raanan of ESPN. “I don’t think he will be here all the time. He’s going to be here a lot working really hard. He’s making really good progress right now. I’m very hopeful that he’ll be back soon.
“Also, understand when you come back from a knee, he’ll be back, and he’ll still be building his way back to his ultimate full-strength self. But he’s doing great. He’s doing a great job. He’s made some real good progress in the last few weeks.”
This update from Harbaugh comes just a few days after Giants general manager Joe Schoen said Nabers should be “fine” for Week 1 of New York’s 2026 campaign.
