Who is Performing in USA's World Cup Opening Ceremony? Singers, Start Time and More

After Mexico and Canada played their opening match of the 2026 World Cup, the USA will play its opening match tonight against Paraguay at Los Angeles Stadium.

Like Mexico and Canada's opening matches kicked off, the opening match for the USMNT will have an opening ceremony 90 minutes before kick-off.

Similar to Mexico City Stadium, FIFA encourages fans to come into the stadium early to watch the show. FIFA president Gianni Infantino spoke about the opening ceremony for the USMNT's first match of the tournament.

Infantino said, "This opening ceremony in Los Angeles represents the extraordinary scale of what the FIFA World Cup 2026 will become. The lineup of artists reflects the cultural diversity of the United States and the vibrancy of its many diasporas, highlighting the nation's rich influence on music, entertainment, and pop culture, while showcasing the power of music to bring people together across the country."

Where to Watch the USA vs Paraguay Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony will be available to watch on the TV channels and streaming services that will broadcast the USMNT vs Paraguay match. The opening ceremony will start at 7:30 p.m. ET/ 4:30 p.m. PT in the United States.

The match will kick off at 9 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. PT in the United States.

Katy Perry is among the big names that will take part in the FIFA World Cup 2026 opening ceremony before the USMNT vs Paraguay match tonight.

FIFA announced that, alongside Katy Perry, Future, Anitta, LISA, Rema, and Tyla will perform at the Opening Ceremony tonight.

Tyla returns on stage for the 2026 World Cup after singing the South African national anthem yesterday at Mexico City Stadium for Mexico vs South Africa.

Future and Tyla are expected to perform their World Cup song from the official FIFA World Cup Album 'Game Time'. LISA, Anitta, and Rema are expected to perform their World Cup song 'Goals'.
