NASCAR at Pocono Race Results: Finish Order, Winner, and Key Takeaways
Denny Hamlin raced to another victory, proving further dominance in the NASCARCup Series via his 3rd straight win in the Cup Series. Hamlin has now won 4 of the last 5 races as he inches within 51 points of Tyler Reddick for the top spot in the driver standings.
Race Takeaways
Hamlin surged to victory, passing his teammate, Christopher Bell, with 5 laps to go.
Bell had been playing a huge gamble with pit strategy, trying to save fuel by running slower laps with less throttle and needing one fewer pit stop than everyone else. His fuel-saving plan ultimately failed, as he finished 26th after running out of gas on the way to the final lap of the race.
A strong day was also mounted by the team of Legacy Motor Club, in which John Hunter Nemechek led a handful of laps, and Erik Jones chased closely behind. Both Nemechek and Jones finished in the top-6.
Legacy Motor Club began a partnership with fellow Toyota team, Joe Gibbs Racing, this season, and it seems to be paying dividends with recent strong form.
Tyler Reddick finishes 2nd, setting up a perfect picture for the 2026 season, which has been dominated by both Reddick and Hamlin. They have won a combined 10 races this season.
