Sophie Cunningham Makes Request Before Indiana Fever Game
Sophie Cunningham has continued to thrive in her second season with the Indiana Fever, emerging as one of the WNBA's most productive reserves. The veteran guard is averaging 9.6 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 22 games while shooting 43.5% from three-point range, a mark that ranks among the top five in the WNBA.
Cunningham is also coming off one of her best performances of the season. She poured in 20 points off the bench in Sunday's 109-75 rout of the Las Vegas Aces, knocking down 6 of 8 attempts from beyond the arc to help Indiana improve to 14-9.
Cunningham will be looking to help her team again when the Fever return home to host the Golden State Valkyries on Wednesday,
But before tip off, Cunningham made a personal request to Indiana fans. The Fever guard shared that she will host her Sophie Cunningham Basketball ProCamp on Saturday, July 19, at the Aletto Family Sports Center in Carmel, Indiana, encouraging fans to join her.
"Come hang out ," Cunningham wrote on X.

The camp is open to boys and girls ages 6 to 15 and will give young athletes the opportunity to learn directly from one of the WNBA's top shooters through skill development sessions, drills and interactive activities.
Cunningham joins teammate Lexie Hull in giving back to the local basketball community this season. Hull hosted her second annual youth basketball camp at the same venue in late June, welcoming hundreds of young players from across Indiana. The Fever's community involvement has become a major part of the franchise's growing popularity as several players continue to connect with fans beyond game days.
Cunningham and the Fever will face Golden State at 7 p.m. ET, with Indiana looking to extend their winning streak to three games.
