Prep roundup: Brooke Nelson and Gabby Jones combine on a no-hitter for Bonney Lake

Bonney Lake 10, Lakes 0: Brooke Nelson pitched her second shutout in three games as the Panthers cruised to a victory over the Lancers. Nelson pitched a combined no-hitter with Gabby Jones, who finished the game off in the fifth inning.

Nelson was 3 for 3, with a triple and a home run for Bonney Lake.

Enumclaw 5, Auburn Riverside 2: Enumclaw’s Quinn Breidenbach pitched a complete game and gave up six hits, two runs, and struck out 14 batters.

Kiana Drumheller went 2 for 3 and scored a run and recorded an RBI for Auburn Riverside.

River Ridge 21, Clover Park 5 (5 innings):

River Ridge recorded 18 hits and scored in every inning. Emily Grahn was 3 for 3 with a triple, three runs scored and three RBIs. Hannah Johnston was 3 for 5, scored four runs and had two RBIs.

Gig Harbor 7, Curtis 3: Jordan Adams pitched a complete game for the Tides. Adams gave up three hits and struck out 12. She was 2 for 4 with a home run. Tessa Waage was 2 for 3, and recorded two doubles, scored two runs and had an RBI for Gig Harbor.

Orting 5, Franklin Pierce 0: McKenzie Behnke was 3 for 3 with a double, run and three RBIs for Orting. Elyssa Torrey was 2 for 4 and Annabelle Debbing was 2 for 2.

South Kitsap 14, Wilson 0: The Wolves scored nine runs in the first two innings. Emma York was 4 for 4 with a triple, and added three RBIs.

Danielle Thiele was 2 for 3 with two runs scored and three RBIs for S-K.

Baseball

Jefferson 9, Decatur 7 (8 innings): In the eighth inning, Jefferson’s Blake Null reached base on an error and Darnel Calugay was able to scored the go-ahead run on the play.

The Raiders scored again in the inning to extend their lead. The Gators could not mount a comeback in the bottom of the eighth.

Kentridge 7, Kent-Meridian 4: Corey Ng was 2 for 3 and recorded two RBIs for the Chargers. Kody Darcy scored two runs and drove in two. .

Kentlake 5, Tahoma 3: The Falcons opened up in the first by scoring four runs. Caleb Jaime got the win on the mound while going 3 for 3 at the plate. Jaime also scored a run and recorded an RBI for Kentlake. Jayke Chavez was 1 for 4 and recorded an RBI and scored a run.

Federal Way 11, Mount Rainier 0: Dawson Bakker went 3 for 3 and had three RBIs for the Eagles. Federal Way extended its two-run lead to eight after scoring six runs in the third.

Fife 10, Washington 0 (6 innings): The Trojans scored in each inning. Cole Connolly was 2 for 2 with three RBIs for the Trojans. Cameron Greene was 3 for 3, and scored two runs. Greene hit a homer in the second and finished with three RBIs.

Fife 17, Washington 1 (5 innings): The Trojans swept the doubleheader as they also won a makeup game against the Patriots. Pitcher Eli Graham got the win, while Tanner Knappe went 2 for 3 and had two RBIs.

Lincoln 18, Life Christian 11: The Abes entered the fourth inning down 5-0. They scored nine runs in the inning.

Zavier Huebner was 3 for 4, had two RBIs and scored two runs. He stole four stolen bases for Lincoln. Caleb Ford was 3 for 5, scoring three runs and driving in three.

Girls Tennis

Capital 3, Yelm 2: The Tornados could not pull out a victory after winning the first two singles matches. Chiara Fuermann and Kylee Doherty put them up 2-0. Capital mounted a comeback by winning three straight doubles matches, taking the final match, 6-0, 6-3.

Franklin Pierce 3, White River 2: White River gave up three straight doubles matches in the loss. Ysaline Winkle defeated the Cardinals’ No. 1 singles player, Anna Le, 6-0, 6-2. The Hornets’ Heather Kryzsko defeated Gracie Wilsie, 6-4, 6-4.

Lincoln 3, Gig Harbor 2: After falling behind 0-2 in singles, the Abes powered back and won three straight doubles matches. Joyce Park and Tova Beck lost a combined one set for the Tides in singles play.

Jefferson 4, Graham-Kapowsin 1: Megan Hagerty was the only Eagle to win, defeating Ally Peterson in the first singles match, 6-2, 6-1. Erica Dillard began a four-match win streak for the Raiders, defeating Carley Heinrichs, 6-0, 6-0, in the second singles match.

Olympia 4, Mount Tahoma 1: Angelysia Ramirez secured the T-Birds’ only win during the second singles match. Ramirez defeated Claire White, 6-3, 6-2.

Auburn Mountainview 5, Auburn Riverside 0: Kasey Green took Leanna Harris of Auburn Mountainview to an extra set, but could not pull out a victory for the Ravens in the first singles match. Harris won the match, 4-6, 7-5, 10-6, and sparked the Lions’ run.
