UW Huskies add commitments from two 2022 defensive linemen from Michigan
The Washington Huskies added two more commits to their 2022 signing class Wednesday afternoon.
Armon and Jayvon Parker, who are twins, and defensive linemen at Fordson High School (Dearborn, Mich.), both announced their commitments to the Huskies on social media after visiting campus last weekend.
Armon Parker, who is listed at 6-foot-4, 270 pounds, is considered a three-star recruit by 247Sports.com, the No. 214 defensive lineman nationally in the 2022 class and the No. 53 recruit in Michigan, and also held a Big Ten offer from Illinois.
Jayvon Parker, who is also listed at 6-4, 270, is also considered a three-star recruit, the No. 239 defensive lineman in the class and No. 65 player in Michigan, and also held an offer from Grand Valley State.
With National Signing Day a week away, the addition of Armon and Jayvon Parker pushes the Huskies’ signing class to six commits.
Saguaro (Scottsdale, Ariz.) offensive lineman Parker Brailsford has already enrolled, while Tumwater tight end Ryan Otton, Desert Ridge (Mesa, Ariz.) edge rusher Lance Holtzclaw and Emerald Ridge wide receiver Denzel Boston also signed during December’s early period.
The Huskies have also added six transfers in the past two months in quarterback Michael Penix Jr. (transferred from Indiana), cornerback Jordan Perryman (UC Davis), linebacker Demario King (Cerritos College), wide receiver Junior Alexander (Arizona State), running back Aaron Dumas (New Mexico) and linebacker Cam Bright (Pittsburgh).
