Apple Cup gameday information: Increased security measures at Husky Stadium; different Metro shuttle service

In addition to Washington’s official game notes, there were a few other items worth pointing out today for those planning to attend Friday’s Apple Cup game at Husky Stadium.

First, there will be tighter security. From UW: “Department officials have increased security measures in and around football games at Husky Stadium. Officials are asking fans to arrive early to the 2015 Apple Cup game, as stadium entrance times may take slightly longer than normal due to these increased security precautions. Specifically, stadium personnel will be conducting a full bag check. Fans wishing for the fastest entrance time should not bring bags to the game.”

Also, because the game is being played on Friday instead of Saturday, the normal Metro bus park-and-ride service will not be available. That service will be replaced with a special Apple Cup shuttle, for which you must register. It costs $4 per person, and must be paid via credit card. More registration information is available here.
