Huskies links: Mique Juarez, Javon McKinley, UW hoops and more
A few links and notes to start your weekend ...
--- The UW men’s basketball team plays against Montana at 3 p.m. today at Hec Edmundson Pavilion. Here is our preview of that game, focusing on the rejuvenated career of ex-Husky Martin Breunig, who is now Montana’s leading scorer and a legitimate Big Sky Player of the Year candidate.
--- Five-star linebacker recruit Mique Juarez, who visited UW earlier this week, told the Daily Breeze that Huskies coaches are talking to him about playing both offense and defense. Juarez has also visited Mississippi and has trips planned to Oklahoma, Alabama and UCLA.
--- Zack Farrar, a receiver prospect from Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas, is taking an official visit to UW this weekend. 247 Sports also lists three other visitors this week, each of whom is an in-state recruit already committed to the Huskies -- DE Amandre Williams, S Taylor Rapp, and CB Isaiah Gilchrist. Rapp has already signed financial-aid paperwork and plans to enroll at UW in January and participate in spring practices.
