QB Daniel Bridge-Gadd, DB Taylor Rapp, DL Myles Rice enroll at UW, begin classes

Three Huskies football recruits enrolled at UW and began winter quarter classes on Monday.

Phoenix quarterback Daniel Bridge-Gadd, Sehome High School defensive back Taylor Rapp and Houston defensive lineman Myles Rice are each on campus and officially part of the UW football program. Bridge-Gadd and Rapp are members of the 2016 recruiting class who signed financial-aid agreements and are enrolling early. Rice signed a national letter of intent in February before delaying his enrollment (greyshirting).

All three players will be available for spring practices. Here are their bios from UW’s official release:

Daniel Bridge-Gadd, QB, 6-2/200, Phoenix, Ariz. (Paradise Valley)

The Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of Arizona as a senior in 2015 ... named to the All-Arizona (all levels) first team at quarterback ... the Arizona Republic's Big Schools Player of the Year in 2015 ... named Division III Player of the Year and all-state quarterback by scout.com ... completed 251-of-374 passes for 4,258 yards and 47 touchdowns with just nine interceptions while also rushing for 627 yards and 17 touchdowns on 139 carries last fall ... passing yards and TD totals both set school records ... led the Trojans to a 13-1 overall record and their first-ever berth in the Division III state championship game, where Paradise Valley suffered its lone defeat of the season (29-27 to Desert Edge) ... career-high seven TDs and 512 yards passing in a state playoff win over Catalina Foothills ... also had three five-TD games as a senior, throwing at least one scoring pass in all 14 games and three or more in 10 of 14 ... as a junior, completed 171-of-265 pass attempts for 2,740 yards, 41 touchdowns and nine interceptions while also rushing for 587 yards and five TDs on 123 carries ... threw a TD in every game in 2014, including six vs. Arcadia and five against Horizon ... Trojans went 10-2 his junior year, advancing to the state tournament quarterfinals ... as a sophomore in 2013, went 236-for-345 for 2,410 yards, 27 touchdowns and 12 interceptions ... saw limited action on the varsity team as a freshman ... ranked the No. 8 overall recruit in Arizona and the No. 18 pro-style quarterback in the nation by rivals.com ... also played basketball and ran track at Paradise Valley ... played football for coach Greg Davis.

Taylor Rapp, DB 6-0/195, Bellingham, Wash. (Sehome)

As a senior, earned USA Today all-state (all levels) first-team, Associated Press 2A all-state first-team, All-Whatcom County first-team, and All-NWC first-team honors ... played on the USA National Teams at the youth level ... credited with 117 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four forced fumbles and three interceptions in 2015 ... invited to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl following his senior season ... as a junior in 2014, earned first-team AP all-state and first-team All-NWC as a safety and second-team all-league as a receiver ... as a junior, scored offensive TDs as a runner, receiver and passer and finished the season with 682 rushing yards and 349 receiving yards ... first-team All-NWC safety as a sophomore in 2013 ... rated as the No. 1 safety prospect in the state of Washington by scout.com ... listed as the No. 4 prospect in Washington and the No. 24 safety in the country by ESPN ... rated the No. 6 recruit in the state and the No. 50 safety in the country by rivals.com ... played for coach Bob Norvell at Sehome.

Myles Rice, DL, 6-4/220, Houston, Texas (Bush)

Originally signed a National Letter of Intent with Washington in Feb., 2015, but delayed enrollment until Jan., 2016 ... earned first-team honors on the All-District 23-5A team as a senior in 2014 ... PrepStar All-Region selection ... as a junior, helped the Broncos to a 9-3 record ... named to the Houston Hot 100 list of prospects prior to the 2014 season ... team made it to the second round of the Conference 5A D2 playoffs in 2013 ... earned first-team All-District 23-5A as a junior, his first year playing football ... ranked by ESPN as the nation’s No. 97 defensive end recruit ... also played basketball and ran track at Bush ... played football for coach Allen Aldridge.
