Noah Dickerson suspended for violation of team rules, did not make trip to San Diego

Huskies freshman Noah Dickerson, a 6-foot-8 forward from Atlanta, has been suspended for a violation of team rules and did not make the trip for UW’s second-round NIT game on Monday at San Diego State, a UW spokesperson said.

Dickerson is suspended for the week, meaning he would not play in the Huskies’ quarterfinal game, should they win tonight. But he would be available if the Huskies advance to next week’s semifinals at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Dickerson averages 7.5 points and 5.2 rebounds in 22.3 minutes per game. He started the Huskies’ first 25 games before being replaced by Malik Dime.

Dickerson’s suspension leaves the Huskies with just three available big men -- Dime, starting forward Marquese Chriss and reserve forward Devenir Duruisseau.
