Huskies’ quarterback academy promo features Jeff Tedford in UW gear
It appears that former California head coach Jeff Tedford will soon join the Washington Huskies coaching staff in some capacity.
That was the primary takeaway from the promotional poster for UW’s quarterback academy that coach Chris Petersen tweeted on Friday. The promo features several quarterback experts who will be in attendance at the camp -- including ex-Huskies Warren Moon, Jake Locker, Brock Huard and Billy Joe Hobert -- and also includes Tedford wearing a UW windbreaker, a UW hat and a headset.

The Seattle Times reported late last month that Tedford has had “informal discussions” with Petersen about joining UW’s staff as an offensive consultant. The fact that he’s wearing UW gear in the aforementioned promo seems to confirm that he will be a part of the Huskies’ staff this season.
Tedford and Petersen worked together at Oregon prior to Petersen’s 13-year stint at Boise State. Tedford was fired as California’s coach following the 2012 season, and was head coach of the CFL’s B.C. Lions last season.
