Top high school soccer players and teams in the Olympia area

TOP TEAMS

Jack Harrison, North Thurston – A two-time returning All-Area choice as a holding midfielder, Harrison chipped in on offense last season as well with a pair of goals and five assists.

Austin Mikesh, Tumwater – Mikesh can play up front or in the midfield and has battled injuries to become the heavily-recruited heart of the T-Birds attack.

Manny Nicasio, Shelton – The Highclimbers midfielder knocked home eight goals and assisted on seven others on his way to All-Area honors in 2018.

Sawyer Price, Olympia – An Olympian All-Area choice in goal after averaging five saves per game and recording four shutouts in 2017, Price has signed with Northwest Nazarene University.

Mario Silva, Centralia– Returning All-Area forward continues to find the net for the Tigers this season, including a recent hat trick against Rochester.

TOP TEAMS

The top teams in the area come from the larger school, ranks while much of the depth hails from the Class 2A Evergreen Conference.

Olympia, seeking its third consecutive 4A state tournament berth is 5-3-3 heading into Friday’s SPSL meeting with Curtis.

Shelton finished a game short of the 3A state playoffs in 2018. The Highclimbers are 7-4 in 2018, 6-4 in the 3A South Sound Conference.

Centralia leads the 2A EvCo at 5-1 and has a 6-3-1 record overall. Tumwater is a game out at 4-2, 6-3-1 overall. Black Hills has a winning mark in league at 3-2 and is level overall at 5-5.
