BOYS BASKETBALL
Spanaway Lake 53, Rogers 50: The Sentinels came out with a nail-biting win over the Rams, outscoring them by three points in the first half.
Both teams scored 15 points in the third and 11 points in the fourth, and the Sentinels walked away with another tally in the win column.
Puyallup 48, Emerald Ridge 43: The Vikings came out on top over the Jaguars in an SPSL South game.
Deven Neff scored a game-high 16 points and Tony Gutierrez scored 13 as the Vikings rolled to their 10th win of the season, fourth in league play.
Enumclaw 58, Bonney Lake 42: The Hornets outscored the Panthers in every quarter, defeating them by 16 points.
Josh Erickson scored 16 points for Enumclaw and Scott Garvin added 13.
Peninsula 62, Auburn Riverside 42: JaQuori McLaughlin scored 18 points and Jimmy Ritchie had 11 as the Seahawks cruised past the Ravens.
Peninsula outscored Auburn Riverside, 14-4, during the first quarter and didn't let off the gas. With the win the Seahawks get their ninth win, fourth in 3A SPSL play.
Auburn Mountainview 72, Lakes 28: The Lions outscored the Lancers 24-5 during the second quarter and coasted to victory.
Ryan Lacey, who has committed to Western Oregon University, scored a game-high 23 points for Auburn Mountainview.
Curtis 83, Graham-Kapowsin 33: The Vikings outscored their 4A SPSL opponent Eagles, 25-8, during the first quarter and Curtis dominated Graham-Kapowsin.
The Vikings earned their 12th win of the season, fifth in league and have only suffered one loss. Sindou Diallo led all scorers with 24 and Aushanti Potts-Woods chipped in 13 for Curtis.
Tumwater 66, Fort Vancouver 49: The T-Birds went on a tear during the first half, outscoring the Trappers, 39-23, and Tumwater defeated Fort Vancouver in a nonleague test.
Ty Gentry scored a game-high 20 points and Spencer Dowers added 11 for Tumwater.
Rainier Christian 49, Mount Rainier Lutheran 39: Jimmy Archer scored 19 points to lead the Hawks during a key fourth-quarter run in the Hawks’ win over the Mustangs.
The game was close early with Mount Rainier Lutheran leading at the half, 16-15, but the Hawks outscored the Mustangs in the final quarter, 19-8, for the win.
Tacoma Baptist 48, Northwest Christian 30: The Crusaders opened the game on a 12-3 run and the Navigators were outscored 22-12 during the third quarter in Tacoma Baptist’s win over Northwest Chrsitian.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Puyallup 54, Emerald Ridge 48: Sophie DeWitt scored a game-high 17 points for the Vikings as they edge the Sentinels in South SPSL league play.
Kentwood 45, Jefferson 38: The Conquerors outscored the Raiders in every quarter of the game on Tuesday.
Auburn Mountainview 59, Lakes 42: After the Lancers kept it close in the first quarter, the Lions roared away thanks to Taylor Flores’ 20 points and Brianna Zaragoza-Jones chipping in 11. Mallory LaPoole had a game-high 23 points for Lakes.
Bonney Lake 44, Enumclaw 28: The game started slow with both teams combining for six points during the first quarter, but things started to heat up during the second half as Bonney Lake scored 32 points in a win over Enumclaw.
Mount Rainier Lutheran 71, Rainier Christian 53: Senior Elizabeth Foxley scored a career-high 20 points for the Hawks as they cruised to a win over the Mustangs.
The Hawks opened the game up with a 21-8 run and only dropped one quarter, as they were outscored 14-10 in the third.
Auburn Riverside 58, Peninsula 40: The Ravens romped the Seahawks to remain undefeated on the season.
Olivia Denton and McKenzi Williams scored 16 apiece to give the Ravens an 18-point edge over Peninsula, a 3A SPSL league opponent.
BOWLING
Graham-Kapowsin 3, Curtis 2: The Eagles pulled away with the win thanks to a clutch performance by Miranda Stallman, who rolled a team-high 347 for G-K.
The Eagles edged out the Vikings in pin count, winning by 16 pins (1842-1826).
Foss 5, Stadium 2: The Falcons started strong as they defeated the Tigers, 613-500, during the first set.
Kathy Lee continued her dominance rolling a Falcon-high 284.
Wilson 6, Mount Tahoma 1: Trinity Charles bowled a 188 and 165 (353) and was the high roller for the Rams ans the cruised to a 1734-1464 pin victory over the T-Birds.
Emerald Ridge 5, Puyallup 0: The Vikings are still trying to find a rhythm as they still search for their first win of the season.
The Jaguars outshot the Vikings 1595-1414 in total pins and Amy Hanson rolled a match-high 343 for the Jaguars.
