Jenna Randich leads Olympia past South Kitsap

GIRLS BASKETBALL

The Olympia Bears defeated South Kitsap on its home court, 40-36, on Wednesday night in a 4A Narrows League matchup.

Olympia’s Jenna Randich was fouled with seconds left, and hit two free throws to seal the win.

Randich was the top scorer for the Bears with 21. Averie Stock added eight points.

North Thurston 52, Shelton 46: The Rams trailed 21-15 after the first quarter, but staged a comeback.

Brooklyn Harn and Rokki Brown both scored 14 points for North Thurston.

Gig Harbor 46, Sumner 35: Maddie Willett scored 15 points to lead the Tides.

The Tides led 16-14 at intermission, but outscored the Spartans 30-21 the rest of the way.

Timberline 53, Stadium 36: The Blazers outscored the Tigers 29-12 during the first half and didn’t look back.

Sara Bowen, a senior guard, led Timberline with 18 points.

Capital 56, Foss 33: The Cougars outscored Foss in each quarter. Palen Fenton led Capital with 12 points, while Olivia Jackowich had 11 and Calli Kaufman 10.

Bellarmine Prep 54, Yelm 17: The Lions romped past the Tornados in a 4A Narrows matchup.

The Tornados were held scoreless in the first quarter and trailed 25-4 at halftime.

Shalyse Smith led the Lions with 19 points and Reyelle Frazier added 10.

Black Hills 66, Charles Wright Academy 48: Maisy Williams led the Wolves to victory with 30 points.

The Wolves led 21-11 after the first quarter and outscored their opponent in each of the remaining quarters.

Forest Ridge 49, Annie Wright 33: The Ravens outscored the Gators 31-14 during the first half and remained in control.

Maria Peterson scored 11 points for the Gators, while Abbey Turner and Amhina Webb both scored 10.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Olympia 76, South Kitsap 67: Hunter Sipe led the Bears with 17 points, while Brett Thompson, Liam Murphy and Eddie Beusch each chipped in 14.

The Bears outscored the Wolves 38-27 in the second and third quarters after falling behind 22-20 during the first. Eric Wattree scored 32 points for the Wolves.

Timberline 73, Stadium 65: Timberline came back against the Tigers after trailing 17-13 to begin the second quarter.

Erik Stevenson scored a game-high 22 points for the Blazers.

Foss 61, Capital 35: The Falcons raced to a 22-9 lead after the first quarter and kept the pedal down.

Donald Scott led the Falcons with 17 points and Roberto Gittens had 14.

BOWLING

Curtis 4, Bethel 1: Alexia Rawls led the Vikings in total pin count, rolling a combined 407.

The Vikings outscored the Braves, 1,830-1,679.

Graham-Kapowsin 4, Decatur 1: Katy Schmitz led the Eagles, scoring a game-high 407.

After a close first set, where G-K won 768-745, the Eagles ran away with the match, defeating the Gators 1,773-1,587.

Spanaway Lake 5, Puyallup 0: The Sentinels defeated the Vikings with a total pin count of 1,748-1,294.

Faith Julian led the Sentinels, rolling a 162 and a 191 for a 353.

Steilacoom 7, Mount Tahoma 0: The T-Birds were no match for the Sentinels as they were outscored 1,582-1,331.

Emily Cybulski led the Sentinels, rolling a 340. Wendy Barajas led Mount Tahoma with a 246.
