Timberline’s Reid shuts out Bellarmine Prep

Timberline 5, Bellarmine Prep 0: Lucas Reid allowed one hit in his shutout Wednesday.

Reid, a senior, struck out nine of the 23 batters he faced in his complete game.

North Thurston 11, Mount Tahoma 1: The Rams scored 10 of their 11 runs in the first two innings. North Thurston allowed one hit, which led to Mount Tahoma’s run. The T-Birds committed seven errors. North Thurston junior Josh Congdon went 2 for 4 with two RBIs, while Jacob Harn went 2 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored.

Capital 13, Lincoln 2: The Cougars scored in every inning.

Capital was led by Mitchell Dooley, a senior shortstop, who was 1 for 2 with three RBIs. Travis Tallman limited the Abes to five hits. Lincoln’s Sean Coyler went 1 for 2 with an RBI.

Kentridge 12, Mount Rainier 2: The Chargers scored six runs in the first two innings.

Austin Gormley, a senior second baseman, went 3 for 3 for Kentridge and had five RBIs. Junior center fielder Issac Barrera went 3 for 4 and scored three runs. Ted Dominguez picked up the win.

Bonney Lake 13, Auburn 2: The Panthers scored 12 runs in the final two innings.

Robby Pogue, Braydon Tressler, Cameron Campbell and Jeff Roach combined for 10 RBIs for the Panthers. Pogue, a junior third baseman, went 3 for 3, with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Olympia 11, Stadium 1: Derek Downey picked up his second win of the season as the Bears routed the Tigers in five innings.

Downey pitched all five innings and gave up three hits. He walked off the mound with a 1.40 ERA and five strikeouts. The Bears entered the fifth inning up 4-1, but found their stride and scored seven runs.

Tristan Haider, a senior outfielder, had two RBIs, and Ben Pedigo went 3 for 3.

Central Kitsap 14, Foss 4: The Cougars held the Falcons scoreless until the seventh inning. Nolan Wiler, C-K’s senior third baseman, went 3 for 5 with a double and five RBIs. Senior first baseman Eric Halverson went 2 for 4, with a triple, a home run and four RBIs.

For Foss, Austin Eisenmenger tripled and drove in two runs.

Sumner 16, Lakes 0: The Spartans scored 10 runs in the first inning and never looked back.

Preston Fullington pitched four innings and struck out seven in his second win of the season. Noah Massey went 2 for 3, had two RBIs and scored three runs. Ben Wilson was 2 for 4 and had five RBIs.

Softball

Federal Way 17, Kent-Meridian 2: The Eagles cruised on Wednesday thanks to a 14-run second inning.

Sophomore Chaella Galapon led Federal Way, going 2 for 3 with a homer, six RBIs and two runs scored. Tally Thomas hit two triples and had two RBIs.

Sophomore Melissa Mateus got the win and in two runs.

Todd Beamer 13, Kentlake 3: The Titans scored 10 runs in the first three innings, including a six-run third.

Todd Beamer’s Jourdin Hering went 3 for 5 with a triple and four RBIs. Kenzie Palmer went 3 for 4 and drove in two runs.

W.F West 9, Olympia 4: Lexie Stasser improved to 4-0 on the mound, and helped her own cause by going 3 for 4 with a homer and four RBIs.

Kendra Davis and Ashlee Vadala both drove in a run for the Bearcats.

Sophie Cabel drove in two runs for Olympia.

Curtis 13, Bellarmine Prep 3: Jaedyn Shaughnessy pitched all six innings and struck out three. The Vikings junior yielded nine hits.

Gabrielle Ginnis went 2 for 4 with a double and four RBIs for Curtis. Hannah Hyer also doubled and accounted for two runs scored. The Vikings used a six-run sixth inning to put on the finishing touch.

Meg Sullivan had a hand in all of the Lions’ runs She went 2 for 2 with a homer and two runs scored.

Yelm 23, North Thurston 6: The Tornados entered the seventh inning having scored 10 runs. However, their offense was just getting started as they exploded for 13 more runs.

Yelm’s Carley Nelson went 2 for 4 with a homer and five RBIs. Drea Schwaier went 2 for 5 with two doubles and three RBIs.

North Thurston freshman Tera Geimer went 2 for 4 and drove in two runs.
