Do national experts predict the Texas Rangers will repeat as World Series Champion?
The Texas Rangers are gearing up to begin their defense of their World Series title. Do national experts and pundits believe Texas can become the first franchise to repeat since the 1998-2000 New York Yankees?
The Rangers returned most of their key contributors from last year’s team and will add rookie of the year favorite Wyatt Langford and have a full season of Carter.
The team will be without designated hitter Mitch Garver, starting pitcher Jordan Montgomery and reliever Aroldis Chapman, all departed in free agency.
Most experts don’t predict the Rangers will repeat as champions. What are they saying?

Why will this be the Braves’ year? This team is simply too good and too powerful to go down in the division series for a third straight season — although avoiding Zack Wheeler and Aaron Nola might be a good idea. The most important reason why this will be the Braves’ year is that the pitching staff is the best one they have had this decade, much better and deeper than the 2021 World Series winners.
World Series winner prediction: Atlanta Braves

There is absolutely no doubt that the Dodgers are going to win the NL West, but I thought it would be boring to take them to win the NL. Plus, the best regular-season team hasn’t come out of the NL in a full season since 2017. I’ve said each of the last two postseasons that the Phillies are much more built for a playoff run than for the regular season and I’ve got that coming fully to fruition this time around with them winning it all.
World Series prediction: Philadelphia Phillies

The offense could be among the best in the NL again; their weakest spot might be DH, and that’s not that hard to fix if your GM is a ninja. All that aside, if they get to the playoffs unscathed, they’re as well-built to win in October as any team in baseball.
World Series prediction: Atlanta Braves

While we’re at it, we might as well take the Twins to win the World Series; they are my favorite long shot on the market with odds as generous as +3000 at bet365.
They have the easiest path into the playoffs versus any of the other 29 clubs considering their advantage over the poor competition in the AL Central. That should inflate their numbers down the stretch, but there is an undervalued stability in the pitching staff and enough positional depth in the minors to be fresh in the postseason.
World Series prediction: Minnesota Twins

Baltimore last hoisted the Commissioner’s Trophy in 1983. That group featured legends such as Cal Ripken Jr., Eddie Murray and Jim Palmer. Perhaps we’ll view the likes of Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman and Grayson Rodriguez in a similar light one day.
World Series prediction: Baltimore Orioles

MLB.com surveyed 100 MLB players and asked them who they thought would win the World Series.
The Dodgers edged the Braves among the players surveyed, with those two clubs in a league of their own in the balloting. But the Dodgers are the team cited most as the one players think will win this year’s World Series (if not their own club). And why not? An already stacked roster added Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto, among others, this offseason.
World Series prediction: Los Angeles Dodgers

Those questions just aren’t there with the Braves. Strider is the best pitcher in the National League and Fried is right there with him. Sale has ace potential when healthy and Morton has been as steady as it comes in terms of both health and production in recent years. Not to mention the bullpen is a standout group led by Raisel Iglesias and A.J. Minter.
World Series prediction: Atlanta Braves

Below you can find my full-season forecast for every team this season. I predicted every club’s final 162-game record and where they will finish within their respective divisions, as well as the 12 playoff teams and postseason winners. My World Series champion might surprise some people.
World Series prediction: Philadelphia Phillies

When the Braves won their last World Series in 2021, they were the upstarts in the Fall Classic. Over the past two seasons, they have struggled to live up to their massive expectations heading into the postseason. Expect two seasons of heartbreak to fuel a run to their fifth World Series.
World Series prediction: Atlanta Braves
