Mariners lose pitcher Rollins to waiver claim by Cubs
Left-handed pitcher David Rollins was claimed off waivers by the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners announced today.
Rollins, 26, was 1-0 with a 7.71 ERA with six strikeouts in 11 relief appearances in five stints with Seattle. With Triple-A Tacoma, he was 5-0 with a 3.77 ERA with 32 strikeouts and six walks in 37 games.
He was selected by Seattle from Houston as the 12th pick of the Rule 5 Draft on Dec. 11, 2014.
The moves leaves the Mariners’ 40-man roster at 36.
