Mariners announce 41-player roster for minor-league mini-camp
SEATTLE — Former first-round draft picks Alex Jackson and D.J. Peterson head a 41-player roster announced by the Mariners for an upcoming minor-league mini-camp at the organization’s year-round complex in Peoria, Ariz.
The camp runs from Feb. 21 to March 6 and bridges the gap between the start of big-league camp and the formal start to minor-league camp.
In addition to Jackson and Peterson, whom the club now lists as a first baseman, the mini-camp roster includes outfielder Tyler O’Neill, who shared last year’s award as minor-league player of the year with first baseman Jesus Montero.
