Meet the newest Seahawks: Fifth- sixth- and seventh-round picks

QUINTON JEFFERSON, Defensive tackle (6-4, 291)

Pick: Fifth round (No. 147)

The skinny: An all-Big Ten honorable mention selection last season for Maryland (12/5 tackles for loss in 12 games). Plays multiple positions, much like All-Pro Michael Bennett. Suffered torn right ACL early in 2014.

ALEX COLLINS, Running back (5-10, 217)

Pick: Fifth round (No. 171)

The skinny: Arkansas star is one of three running backs to post three 1,000-yard rushing seasons in the SEC (Herschel Walker, Darren McFadden). A violent, physical runner, the Seahawks view him as a three-down back. History of fumbling.

JOEY HUNT, center (6-1, 299)

Pick: Sixth round (No. 215)

The skinny: Came to TCU as a defensive tackle, moved to offensive guard – and finished up at center. Undersized but hard to knock off a spot, he led the country last year in pass-blocking efficiency (99.5).

KENNY LAWLER, wide receiver (6-2, 203)

Pick: Seventh round (No. 243)

The skinny: A touchdown-scoring machine for Cal – he tallied 13 scores his senior year. With long arms and large hands, the all-Pac 12 performer catches anything high and low, making him obvious red-zone target.

ZAC BROOKS, running back (6-0, 200)

Pick: Seventh round (No. 247)

The skinny: A career backup whose stock really climbed after Clemson pro day. He has the skill set to play both running back and wide receiver. Was in line to be a starter in 2014 before a foot injury cost him the job.
