Sounders U-23 to host two Oregon rivals
Pierce County-based Sounders U-23 will play a couple of Oregon rivals this weekend, including the popular annual match against Portland Timbers U-23s at 2 p.m. Sunday at North Thurston High School.
That game is regularly one of the best attended on the U-23 schedule. It is hosted by Black Hills Football Club, which will conduct a clinic before the PDL match.
Portland goes into the weekend looking for its first win at 0-3-2.
Sounders U-23 is 1-1 in league play.
However, that will change Friday when the club hosts Lane United in a 7:30 p.m. match at Sunset Stadium in Sumner.
Lane United is 1-0-3 and has allowed three goals over its last four games.
