Schmid misses match due to health issue

The club issued this statement:

“Due to a health-related issue, Seattle Sounders FC Head Coach Sigi Schmid will not be on the sideline for tonight’s match versus Toronto FC. Assistant Coach Brian Schmetzer is managing the team in his absence, with Schmid expected to return to the club next week to resume his regular duties. No other information is available at this time.”

Columbus in 2008 for daughter Lacey’s wedding

July 11, 2009 for son Kurt’s wedding (match vs. Houston Dynamo)

One-match suspension served on October 21 vs. FC Dallas

March 14, 2015 for son Erik’s wedding (match vs. San Jose)

September 5, 2015 due to health-related issue (match vs. Toronto FC)
