As part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Seattle Sounders FC today announced the launch of a 2016 breast cancer awareness calendar available for purchase to benefit the American Cancer Society. The calendar, which features Sounders FC players and breast cancer survivors clad in a variety of pink costumes, costs $20 with all proceeds benefiting Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Seattle, the local affiliate of the American Cancer Society. Complete information on the calendar, as well as all of the club's efforts for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, can be found at SoundersFC.com/Breast-Cancer-Awareness.

"October marks Breast Cancer Awareness month, so we're upping the ante in support of MLS WORKS' Soccer Kicks Cancer initiative and embracing an opportunity to celebrate and support local efforts to save lives," said Sounders FC Director of Community Outreach Roger Levesque. "We've teamed up with American Cancer Society in making the commitment to fight and win - with our very own Sounders FC 2016 Calendar. Some may look better in pink than others, but we all recognize the importance of raising awareness and funds to find a cure."

The limited edition calendar is being made available for purchase to the general public starting this Sunday, October 4 for Seattle's full-stadium, nationally televised match vs. the LA Galaxy (6:30 p.m. PT / FOX Sports 1, KIRO Radio 97.3 FM, El Rey 1360 AM). Available at only two locations on Sunday, fans are able to pick-up a calendar at the CenturyLink Field Pro Shop, as well as the American Cancer Society pre-match party held at THE NINETY [406 Occidental Avenue S] from 4:00 - 6:30 p.m. PT. The event is open to the public, as fans are encouraged to come by and participate in a photo booth with Levesque, connect with survivors highlighted in the calendar and learn how American Cancer Society is raising awareness and funds to support breast cancer research.

Prior to Sunday's match, Season Ticket Members are able to purchase a calendar online through MatchPass, which they can pick up at Sunday's pre-match party at THE NINETY. After Sunday, the calendars will be made available in limited quantities in all Pro Shop locations, while supplies last.

Sounders FC looks to advance its position ahead of the 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs this Sunday with a nationally televised fixture against conference rival LA Galaxy. With just three games remaining in the 2015 MLS regular season, Sunday's matchup has crucial postseason implications, as Seattle and LA currently sit in fourth and first place, respectively, in the Western Conference. Tickets are still available for Sunday's match and can be purchased via the following link: http://sndrs.com/gkn7.
