Stoppage-time goal gives Sounders 1-1 draw with LA
A Chad Barrett goal off of a corner kick in stoppage time prevented disaster for the Sounders tonight, allowing them to salvage a 1-1 draw with the league-leading Los Angeles Galaxy.
The result leaves Seattle (14-13-5) four points behind LA in the West, and three points clear of the playoff cutoff line.
LA had taken the lead in the 37th minute on a Robbie Keane goal following a weak pass by Zach Scott across the front of his own goal.
I’ll be back with notes and quotes.
