‘Significant’ Sounders announcement coming Thursday
The Sounders have called a press conference for 11 a.m. Thursday with “a significant club announcement” promised.
The club offered no hint on the topic to be addressed, but said owner Adrian Hanauer, general manager Garth Lagerwey, coach Sigi Schmid and sporting director Chris Henderson will be in attendance.
Given the timing and the events of earlier this week, natural speculation involves national team forward Jordan Morris.
The event will be held at the club offices near Pioneer Square, but is open to accredited media only.
Naturally, The News Tribune will be in attendance and will tweet and blog the announcement as it happens.
