It’s a Reign-y day in Seattle

Here’s a news release from the club:

Starting early Thursday, Seattle Reign FC will begin celebrating the start of its 2016 season with a series of events taking place throughout downtown Seattle.

Beginning in the wee hours of the morning, limited-edition Reign FC scarves will start to appear throughout the city – with a special emphasis along 4th avenue, in recognition of Reign FC’s 4th season in the NWSL. Seattleites who find a scarf are free to keep it – it also will serve as their ticket to Reign FC’s kit unveiling event on Thursday evening.

At 10:00 a.m., Head Coach Laura Harvey and Defender Lauren Barnes will tape an interview in front of a live audience on KING TV’s New Day Northwest – the interview is scheduled to air at 11:00 a.m. on KING5. Laura and Lu will then make an appearance at the Starbucks at 4th Avenue and Pine Street from 11:00 a.m to 12:00 a.m., where they will be signing autographs and handing out scarves to the first 50 fans who drop by.

The day will culminate at 5:00 p.m., with Reign FC hosting a party that features the unveiling of this season’s kits. The invitation-only event will take place at the Hard Rock Café Seattle on Pike Street and will feature a presentation by Reign FC Owners Bill and Teresa Predmore, Harvey, and select Seattle Reign FC players. During the event Reign FC will also be announcing its presenting sponsor for the 2016 season.

The team will kick off its 2016 season on Sunday, April 17 at 4 p.m. with its home-opening match against Sky Blue FC at Memorial Stadium. Tickets are available at reignfc.com/tickets and by calling (855) REIGN-FC.
