Crime of the Week: Girl, 15, missing from Lacey group home
Crime Stoppers of South Sound is asking for help in locating a missing 15-year-old from Lacey.
Marydru Elizabeth Kays, 15, left the Brentwood Group Home in Lacey on June 9 and has not returned, according to the Lacey Police Department. Kays told staff at Brentwood she was going to Vancouver, Washington, where she planned to stay with her boyfriend, Braeden Jensen, 19. The two may be staying at an apartment in the Vancouver area and Kays may be using the last name Jensen.
Police say Kays is a ward of the state and needs to be returned to state custody.
Kays is described as 5-feet-6 and 155 pounds. She has reddish-brown hair, blue eyes and multiple tattoos, and she has been known to dye her hair blonde.
Anyone with information about this or any other crime is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477). Crime Stoppers will pay as much as $1,000 for tips, and they may be made anonymously.
