Road work starts Monday in west Olympia
Drivers in west Olympia should expect lane closures starting Monday as crews work to prepare roads for chip sealing later this summer.
On Monday and Tuesday, crews will be working on 14th Avenue NW from Kaiser Road to Cooper Point Road, Walnut Road NW from Cooper Point Road to Division Street, and Harrison Avenue from Division Street to West Bay Drive.
On Saturday they will be back working on Walnut Road NW and Harrison Avenue in the same areas.
At least one lane of traffic will be open during the work. Drivers should expect lane restrictions and delays. The preparation work involves digging out and repairing bad sections of asphalt pavement.
