Two dead after SUV goes into lake near Mossyrock
Two people are dead after their SUV went into Mayfield Lake in Lewis County Sunday night.
Washington State Patrol reports a 44-year-old Olympia man was driving a 2013 Audi Q7 SUV eastbound on Route 12 when the vehicle left the road and went into the lake. It was fully submerged.
The driver and one passenger, a 60-year-old woman from Mossyrock, were found dead at the scene.
The crash occurred four miles west of Mossyrock and was reported at about 8:25 p.m.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
