Attention drivers: Construction starts Monday on Martin Way in Olympia

For the next month or so, drivers will see periodic lane closures on Martin Way as crews work to patch and repair asphalt from Ensign Road to the Fourth Avenue/Pacific Avenue intersection.

The work is expected to be completed by early September.

Drivers should expect delays, and access to some businesses may be temporarily disrupted. Bike lanes also will be closed periodically, and flaggers will be on hand to direct traffic.

Crews will also be doing night work on Martin Way at the intersections of Lilly Road, Sleater-Kinney Road and College Street. That work is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. on Aug. 2-4, Aug. 7-9 and Aug. 14-16.
