Voters show support for incumbents in Tumwater school board races
Longtime District 1 incumbent Rita Luce and District 4 incumbent Melissa Determan Beard were advancing easily in Tumwater school board races Tuesday night.
Luce captured nearly 42 percent of the vote, while Beard brought home 66 percent of the vote, according to early returns.
Following Luce was Barry Olson, a retired educator, who also advanced with 39 percent of the vote. Christopher Stanley did not with 18 percent of the vote.
Who follows Beard to the general election is another story.
Ryan Tebow had 19 percent of the vote to Ryan Nabors’ nearly 14 percent of the vote.
