1 dead after collision near Tenino, deputies say
One person was killed Wednesday evening in a collision near Tenino, according the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office, which is investigating the wreck as a vehicular homicide.
Just before 6 p.m., deputies responded to the two-vehicle collision at the 15000 block of McDuff Road Southeast, Sgt. Carla Carter said, where driver, believed to be impaired, struck another car head-on.
The suspect, driving a northbound pickup truck, crossed the center line and collided with a southbound sedan, Carter said. The driver of the sedan was killed.
The suspect was transported a local hospital, and will have blood samples taken, Carter said.
