Enjoy art, music, crafts, a live raptor show, shoreline tours and other activities at the Nisqually Watershed Festival from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 30) at the Billy Frank Jr. Nisqually Wildlife Refuge, 100 Brown Farm Road NE, Olympia.

The theme for this year’s celebration is “Life Under the Water.” There’s a salmon barbecue, so bring your appetite, and “salmon painting,” so bring an extra T-shirt to decorate with a paint-covered fish.

Parking is at River Ridge High School, 350 River Ridge Drive, Lacey, with a free shuttle running every 15 minutes. For more information, go to nisquallyriver.org/nisquallywatershedfestival.

Sept. 30

Dinner theater: Zonta Club of Olympia is hosting “The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged)” at 5:30 p.m. at Little Creek Casino and Resort. Tickets for the fundraiser are $75 each, and available at bitly.com/ZontaShakespeare.

Get prepared: Learn how to prepare for severe winter storms and other natural disasters and emergencies at the 2017 Emergency Prep Expo, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Capital Christian Center, 4431 Martin Way E., Olympia. Admission is free. Information: www.co.thurston.wa.us/em/.

Sing and stroll: Join the Olympia Peace Choir for a sing and stroll at 2 p.m. All ages invited to this free event, which will feature songs that promote peace and social consciousness. Event begins at Heritage Park, 330 Fifth Ave. SW, and goes to Marathon Park in Olympia.

Fall ODA Downtown Clean Up: Get downtown Olympia ready 8:30 a.m. to noon for Fall Arts Walk 2017. Check in location is the back end of the Olympia Press Building, 115 State Ave. NE (behind McMenamins Spar Café, access off Capitol Way).
