Two students were taken to the hospital after their school bus was struck head-on Friday morning, according to police in Aberdeen.

The bus was headed to Miller Junior High School. At about 7:30 a.m. it was turning onto West Harriman Street when it was struck by a vehicle traveling north on South Boone Street, according to Aberdeen Police Sgt. Steve Timmons.

Two students on the bus and two people in the other vehicle were taken by ambulance to Grays Harbor Community Hospital in Aberdeen. Timmons said about three students on the bus were injured but not taken to the hospital.

The northbound lanes of South Boone Street between West Huntley and West Harriman streets were closed for more than an hour. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
