Southbound Interstate 5 will partially close Thursday night in DuPont for bridge repairs after the train derailment earlier this week.

Beginning at 8 p.m., the right lane of Southbound I-5 will close near Mounts Road, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation. It will reopen at 7 a.m. for Friday’s morning commute.

The on ramp from Mounts Road to Southbound I-5 will be closed during the same time frame.

The two left lanes of the freeway will remain open during the repair work, but drivers should expect possible delays.

More overnight closures will be announced after Dec. 25.
