Olympia Police are investigating an RV fire that broke out early Thursday in the Walgreens parking lot at 1510 Cooper Point Road SW.

“Evidently, there were witnesses that saw someone start the fire,” said Olympia fire marshal Robert Bradley. “It’s essentially turned over to the police department as a criminal investigation.”

A Thurston County Sheriff’s K-9 unit search of the area was unsuccessful, he said.

Crews were dispatched to the scene at 5:42 a.m. No injuries were reported, Bradley said.

Bradley said the RV appeared to have been a mid-1980s model and was in good shape. He said it was likely a total loss, and estimated its value at $8,000 to $10,000.
